The PP module has been designed for customised or mass production in the processing industry.
- Production programme/sales planning. Forecasts for the next period/month based on previous quantities used/sold can be generated using three formula variants: flexible averages, single exponential smoothing and double exponential smoothing.
- Adoption of long-term production planning from ERP systems, e.g. SAP
- Primary and secondary requirements planning (short-term planning). Primary and secondary requirements can be calculated by setting minimum and optimum stock quantities. The calculations take into account current stock levels, orders placed with suppliers (incoming goods), orders received from customers (outgoing goods) and planned production orders.
- Batch size planning. Optimum batch sizes are calculated based on primary and secondary requirements, and suggestions made for production orders and schedules. The suggested data can be modified. Production orders can be generated automatically as a final step.
- Compilation of preparation lists for raw materials, to ensure the storage places/silos/cells contain sufficient material to run planned production orders.
- Production order scheduling with forward and backward scheduling.
- Production planning under consideration of machine occupation times and personnel resources
